Workshops, Instruction and Influences

Living in New England I am most fortunate to have had the opportunity to gain instruction from some of the finest artists and landscape painters of our time in both pastel and watercolor mediums.

Juanita Crosby
Bordentown, NJ

I took years of instruction from Juanita who first introduced me to pastels. She was a free and loving spirit who shared her gift with the world and guided many children @ the Firehouse Gallery.

Michael  Smith Sr
San Jose, CA

Better known as Smitty he developed quick dry oil paint in the 70's he shared his love and techniques with so very many of us. His son Michael is an accomplished NYC Artist.

Jacob Aguair
Scarborough, Maine

J
acob's winter classes help keep us all connected and painting through the cold season. His ability to gently guide one through the painting process is always a positive experience.

Lyn Asselta - Maine
Lyn shares her ability and talent with all her students.. She provides guidance to her students that stay with them throughout their years of painting. Lyn's happiness shines through in her work and her classes.

Robert Carsten- Vermont
Robert is one of the kindest souls you will ever come across in the art world. He is extremely gracious as he shares all this worldly and historical knowledge. He is an excellent instructor and highly recommended!

Andy Evansen - Workshopt in VT
Andy fills the days so that you don't think there were enough hours. His workshops are productive and well thought out. You will also get a chance to meet his lovely wife Laura! These two are the cutest couple I have ever met...what a wonderful team ; )

Claudette Gamache
Bath, ME

Claudette first introduced me to plein air painting. My very first painting was of Fort Popham. Claudette's passion for art is contagious and she continues to provide wonderful guidance to those who are interested in the journey.

Evelyn Dunphy
West Bath, ME

Evelyn always shares her technique and ability with her students. Guiding each person through their painting with ease. She travels abroad and shares he experiences with all her students. We all look forward to hearing about her trips!

Joel Popadics - NJ
Wrokshops in VT

I took my first Joel Popadics plein air workshop several years ago in VT prior to that I had only traveled as far as Woodstock. It is a tradition to go to the lovely lake each summer and learn from Joel as he passes on the lessons he has learned from other artists. So much excitement and inspiration to capture nature.
